This is the new 2020 Toyota Highlander. I’m sure it has some specifications and family friendliness and reliability, but I haven’t even bothered to read any details about it, because of that face.

Local Toyota ads call this pseudo-butch minivan with hinged doors “aggressively sophisticated”.  This version is “aggressively mis-styled”.   Another derpy design from Toyolex, but they effectively have a captive cradle-to-grave audience, so it will still mint money.

This has been my reaction to most Toyota/Lexus grills  of the last like eight years or so.  This one doesn't bother me quite as much as the full on angry face, but it is still a face that only its designer could love.

Good choice. Shame about the choice in drive train though.  I suspect because of that it won't be selling well.
